Other than stating the obvious (it’s a blog), Tremendous Trifles contains the observations, wonderings, ponderings and musings of a salt & vinegar crisp fan, based in South London. It was started on a wet, damp day in December 2006 as an alternative to going grocery shopping.

The name Tremendous Trifles is a reference to G K Chesterton’s novel of the same title published in 1909, which includes ditties such as:

“Misers get up early in the morning; and burglars, I am informed, get up the night before.”

And

“He is a [sane] man who can have tragedy in his heart and comedy in his head.”
